    "Drifting" on a public road is a 'display of speed' or 'racing' and is highly illegal.

    Being cited for such behavior can result in losing your license, having your car impounded, and/or jail time.

    And, speaking as a motorcycle rider, the LAST thing I want to see coming around a blind corner on a canyon road is some idiot 'drifting' his car.

    The chances that said idiot has the drifting skills to avoid hitting me is vanishingly small. People with those skills do their drifting professionally on closed race tracks.
