Angie's list. It seems to me this company is just asking for lawsuits. I mean the whole concept behind this site is assorted and meant to hurt business. For instance, Let's say you own a car repair shop and people log on and say bad things about you simply because they are your competitor. The offended company could possibly sue for slander. Any experience or thoughts on this?

You r right I highly doubt the transparency of this site. I believe it is not regulated and if it is I would like to see the standards they use for their list I would like to know how substantial the standards are and who is responsible for them. I don't see how they prevent fraud and I think you may have a valid point in your question here.

I will never pay for a site like that. There are no regulations or any substantial standards of rating for any company. There are other free ways to checkout a company, like the better business bureau (www.bbb.org) where you don't have to pay a monthly fee.
